Chocolate Milkshake

EPISODE 54

Oddly enough, this combination of ingredients creates an absolutely incredible creamy, chocolaty shake. The banana provides a luscious texture, the dates add sweetness while otherwise going undetected, and using pure cocoa powder lends a wonderfully deep flavour. If you prefer a very cold milkshake, peel your banana, cut it into slices, and freeze first. Always peel and slice bananas before freezing, trust me. This is also great with a handful of frozen raspberries thrown in, with an added spoonful of peanut butter or with a dash of instant espresso powder.

Ingredients
  • 1 banana, peeled, the softer and riper the better
  • 5 pitted dates, soaked in boiling water until softened (about 5 minutes), then drained
  • 2-3 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ¼-½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
Instructions

Combine in blender and mix until smooth.

Drink and enjoy!
